I was invited to give Invocation at the Interfaith Tea gathering of the Church Women United. Elaine Bradbury and John Bradbury were serving at our church table. Some people came to say that our talbe was the best!
I know the reason why they said that. We have chilcken salad sandwitch, tea and coffee, desert, and fruits and vegetables. You can find everything for your tea at our table.
Glenda made her best deserts for our table. I loved scons, brittles, and cookies. Some even said that our table is the only table with water! Yes, we are giving the water of life!
I met Karma Lindner from Temple Isaiah at the Family Promise gathering. Rev. Bennett is the chairperson of the board of the Family Promise. Karma chanted the Hebrew scripture for the worship and I enjoyed her chanting. It was my first hand experience of Hebrew chanting. I loved it.
There were Muslims, Buddhists, and many other denominations who came together to alleviated the sufferings of our community. Offerings are divided to the local charities. Women were united to help out our neighbors, saying, “Love is the Answer!”
