My wife took pictures of my car after accident and me in ICU two weeks ago. Then now I am walking without cane. Brentwood Community United Women in Faith brought us Thanksgiving Dinner and our family had thanksgiving time together in front of all the prayers and cards that Central UMC members sent to me.

I was aided by breathing machine for my breathing.
I reached 750 cc when I was discharged. Now I hit 1500 cc at home.
Because my lung had trauma, I had to train my lung how to breathe again. I am using a breathing toy that the hospital gave to me. I use it everyday, every hour and now I can hit 1500 cc. Here is what I learn from a card that a church member sent to me. Healing takes time. Be patient. Healing takes efforts. Do what doctors say to to. Healing takes positive thoughts. Be thankful. Healing takes lots of prayer. You have many.
During this Advent time, I want to share the same lesson with my church family. In whatever situation, have hope. We are getting better everyday. Have faith. God is with us in all our struggles. Practice love. Every small act of kindness helps and boosts us up. Then the peace that the world cannot give will come to us and keep us calm. Let us wait for our Lord with hope and faith in love. Peace be with you!
