I asked him whether fishing needed any skills. He kept repeating same actions. I said, “It seems to me pure luck!” He said, “Some luck and some skills!” I asked him, “What skills do you need?” Jesus said to Peter, “I will make you a fisher of people.” So, I translate his answers into Evangelism 101.
First, you have to know where fish is. (You have to know where non-believers are.)
Second, you have to know what kind of fish you want to catch and use baits accordingly. (You have to know what kind of people you want to reach out and use right tools.)
Third, you have to decided what time of the day you want to come out. (You have to know the life-styles of the people you want to reach out.)
Fourth, you have to move location from time to time. (You have to adapt your strategy from time to time according to the changes of the situations.)
Finally, still you have to depend on luck. (You still pray because God’s grace and help will make the final result.)
