When I came to our church, somebody said that our church is summed up with 3 Fs.
We are fun, flexible, and friendly. That is how I experience our rummage sale. It was fun, flexible, and friendly. If people do not have enough money, we were felxible in pricing. Rev. Bennett gave discounts right away. We all had fun working here. Many diffferent people came and took things that they need.
A travelling nurse came to get things for her new aprtment that she rented out for three months. She will start working at St. Joseph. Her empty aprtment will look nice with all the furnitures and kitchen wares that she got with her small budget. A single mother came to get toys and clothes for her two little children. I carried couple wooden chairs for them to her car. She felt thankful.
At the end of the rummage sale, many volunteers from other non-profits came to get the left over clothes and other things. They are going to use them for their mission and ministries. Cheez!
