Education is our future!

Alan and Jane Cook, Scholarship Doners, sat with a vice president of the UOP at a lunch table.

I was invited to the UOP Scholarship Luncheon because our church gives scholarships to the students. Our church focuses on Education, Mission, and Worship. Education is a big part of our church ministry. UOP and CMNS are two main Educational ministries that we are involved.

Virginia Medford, one of the scholarship donors, sat with Janell Yang, a receipient.

Medford family donates matching scholarship to the students. When our church gives 5,000 dollars, they match $ 5,000 and make it $ 10,000. Virginia came as a representative of the Medford family. She is also an alumni of the UOP.

HT Flemming, one of the Bishop Scholar receipients, is sharing his vision as a script writer.

Janell Yang wants to be a pediatrician. HT (High Top) Fleming is a screen writer. There are five bishop scholars who receive our church scholarships. I pray that they become wonderful disciples of Jesus in God’s Kingdom. By the way, Janell comes to our church and HT goes to the CUMC in Fairfield.
