Join us Saturday, October 3, as we celebrate the 14th Annual Blessing of the Animals at Central. Our 9:30 am service will be seen on Facebook and YouTube. This service will include scripture, prayers, a story honoring Francis of Assisi (c.1180-1226), patron saint of animals and the environment, and a blessing of the animals.
Help us celebrate the important place pets hold in our lives, reminding us of the wonder of God’s creation, and our role as stewards of the earth, by taking part in our virtual service!
This year we invite you to submit a photo of your favorite animal companions, large or small, furry or scaly, winged or crawling, to be included in our online service. If you have not been able to bring your cat, gold fish, lizard or horse in the past, here is a once in a life time opportunity for your special animal companion to participate in our Blessing of the Animals.
Here’s how to participate: Email a photo of your pet, their name and mailing address, to [email protected]. Photos due by Monday, September 28 by noon.
